KLYN Outreach & Community work

KLYN doesn't limit itself to only sharing positive news stories of young people. It plays an active role in delivering high quality projects for young people across West Norfolk. KLYN gives young people a platform and learning experiences to confidently share their stories in their words.

Working directly with you in the community, King's Lynn Youth News allows young people to be the leading voice through group work, drop-ins, and targeted outreach. KLYN provides opportunities for young people to be creative in sharing their experiences and opinions. Helping them to identify, reflect and use those experiences to learn and enhance their outlook, whilst fostering a positive understanding of their personal, social, spiritual and educational development. Through projects which are contextual to the local area, young people will equip each other with safeguarding techniques, risk management and help each other to make informed choices relevant to the ever changing issues they face in their communities.

All projects that we undertake are led by young people. We focus on the issues that they wish to talk about and support them to tell their stories through structured, development-focused sessions. This allows young people to learn while sharing their learning with others. Young people teaching other young people.
