Who are We...
My name is Ben Griffin, I am the founder of King's Lynn Youth News and passionate advocate for youth work and communities in King's Lynn. Over the 10 Years I have been working with young people in our town, I have seen the incredible talent, resilience, and creativity that young people bring to communities.
The inspiration I have received from these young people has driven me to shine a light on the good that is happening, to celebrate achievements, highlight positive stories, whilst offering young people the chance to be the story teller, allowing them to tell the stories in their own words and style.
With a background in youth work and a passion for community change, I believe in the power of local voices to build pride, purpose, and possibility.
KLYN isn't just a news platform - it is a movement to show what happens when young people are heard and valued.

Amplify Youth Voice
Working directly with young people through group work, drop-ins, and targeted outreach, KLYN will provide opportunities for them to be creative in sharing their experiences and opinions. Helping them to identify, reflect and use those experiences to learn and enhance their outlook whilst fostering a positive understanding of their personal, social, spiritual and educational development. Through projects which are contextual to the local area, young people will equip each other with safeguarding techniques, risk management and help each other to make informed choices relevant to the ever changing issues they face in their communities.
Offer Youth Related Help and Advice
We provide information and signposting for young people, parents and carers regarding local services, support offers, and opportunities for young people and families - encouraging young people to engage with relevant provisions in their local community. KLYN will provide a platform for other professionals to share their provisions, support and information to a wider audience, helping the vast network of youth related agencies to understand the work of others within the area.
Celebrate Positive Stories
KLYN will allow young people to promote everyday successes whilst providing a platform for ourselves and other professionals to advocate on their behalf. We want to celebrate success in education, sports, arts, volunteering and personal achievements - Supporting young people to build confidence and self esteem and encouraging them to become responsible, productive citizens. At KLYN we understand the importance of inclusivity and endeavor to provide an environement where all young people feel valued and heard.
Share Events & Maintain a 'What's On' Page
Bring together youth clubs, school events, programs, and opportunities into one central, easy to access calendar for young people, parents and professionals. Through a vast network of professional contacts within King’s Lynn, KLYN aims to provide an area where communities can come together, work together and share their youth based events.
