King’s Lynn Youth News (KLYN) is committed to creating a platform and service that is inclusive, accessible, and representative of the diverse young people, families, and communities of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk. We believe every young person deserves to be seen, heard, valued and empowered regardless of their background, identity, or circumstances. We actively work to remove barriers, challenge discrimination, and promote fairness in everything we do.

This policy applies to all staff, volunteers, youth contributors, partners, digital and outreach work, events, and communication.

5. Inclusive Outreach & Youth Engagement 

Our outreach will always be trauma-informed, accessible, and supportive of vulnerable young people including those affected by CCE, CSE, exploitation and contextual risk.

We commit to plain language, alt text, captions, easy-read options, accessible venues, and alternative formats upon request.

We aim for a diverse team and provide inclusive, fair, accessible opportunities for contributors and volunteers.

KLYN operates zero tolerance for discrimination or harassment. Incidents are taken seriously, recorded, and acted upon.

All communication must be respectful, inclusive, youth-centred, trauma-aware and free from stigma or stereotypes.

KLYN reviews content, gathers feedback, updates policies, and aligns practices with safeguarding and equality duties.
